This is an exciting year for Azure and Terraform enthusiasts!
Most likely we will see the Azure version of the Terraform Authoring and Operations Professional certification coming out closer to the end of the year. Perhaps we will see it around HashiConf in San Francisco at the end of September.
I have no insights into when the exam will be available, I just know that it is being worked on right now.
To prepare for the release of the exam I have already published the Azure edition of my book Terraform Authoring and Operations Professional Study Guide. I released the book soon two weeks ago. The book is released with the subtitle “Early release” to indicate that the exam is not yet available. I am also expecting that there might be a few updates to the contents of the book once the exam is released since I want to make sure the book content aligns with the exam.

If you are not into Azure, but you love AWS: make sure you have not missed that the AWS version of the exam is available since September last year. The AWS edition of my book Terraform Authoring and Operations Professional Study Guide is also available on Leanpub.
