I’m happy to have been accepted to the Microsoft MVP program in the technical area of Azure Infrastructure as Code.
I have been using Terraform and Bicep (and ARM templates) for Azure infrastructure as code for many years, and I am proud to get this recognition from Microsoft!
If you’ve been following my blog here you know that I primarily write about Terraform and the HashiCorp ecosystem. You might also know that I have been writing equally much about AWS as about Azure during the past years. I am a firm believer that you can’t just be proficient in a single cloud provider, you must expand your knowledge and skill horizon! However, the Microsoft MVP nomination has indeed inspired me to focus a bit more on Azure content going forward. That does not mean I will only write Azure content, but there might be a slight shift in focus towards Azure.
Book-wise this year will be focused on completing the Azure edition of my book Terraform Authoring and Operations Professional Study Guide. It is available as an early release version, but I expect to make one last revision after I have booked and passed the actual exam once it has become available. I want to make sure my book aligns with the content of the exam. Well, it already does! I am 100% aligned with the exam objectives, but just to make sure HashiCorp doesn’t throw me a curveball I would still like to pass the exam myself and make sure the book is up to speed.
Once again, I am thrilled for the Microsoft MVP award! Looking forward to sharing and learning in the year to come!
